October 19: The Polite Society Jazz Band

NW Dance Network is excited to welcome back The Polite Society Jazz Band to the Leif, featuring jazz piano legend Ray Skjelbred, everyone’s favorite drummer Mike Daugherty (of The Black Crabs and the Washboard Cutups), star Canadian bassist Jen Hodges, and others. They play both sweet and hot, mixing together Chicago-style swing, classic New Orleans sound, some blues, of course, and even a few waltzes. Come enjoy a great evening of music and dancing!

Pre-dance lesson: 7pm to 8pm. Fusion Fun with Swing and One-Step

Are you tired of dancing the same dance style for a whole tune?  Winfield Hobbs and Nancy Fry will show you how to add a little pizazz to your dance, as you seamlessly move between Swing and One-Step.

Cost: $15 general admission, payable by cash or check at the door; $10 students under 23 (with ID)
