November 24: Little Bill and the Blue Notes at the Mercer Island VFW

We are looking forward to collaborating with the Mercer Island Parks and Recreation and the Mercer Island Arts Council to offer this dance at the historic VFW Hall. The Hall is conveniently located just off of I-90 with easy access to both Seattle and the Eastside.

This evening we will feature an award winning blues band, Little Bill and the Blue Notes. Little Bill and the Blue Notes are an institution more than a band. Since 1956 Bill and various lineups have been wowing audiences with their take on rhythm and blues. They are a favorite at Northwest Dance Network. The dancers enjoy a variety of blues and swing in various tempos.  In 1959 the Bluenotes made the national charts with the teenage love song “I Love an Angel” and since then have released a bevy of recordings.  Joining Bill Englehart will be master guitarist Billy Stapleton, the Hall of Fame inductee Dick Powell on harmonica and keyboard and the tight and steady multiple award winning Billy Barner on drums.
