March 7: Pearl Django

We’re thrilled to bring Pearl Django back to the Leif Erikson Hall. For a couple of decades now, Pearl Django has been known for its compelling gypsy jazz. But precisely because the group’s swing music, a’la Django Reinhardt, made these musicians so popular, most of us hadn’t realized they also play other joyous dance music. Pearl Django is perfect for our dance with its selection of  Blues, Latin, slower Swing, Foxtrots and Waltzes. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to dance along with these splendid musicians: Jim Lerch, Guitar; Jim Char, Guitar; Michael Gray, Violin; and Rick Leppanen, Bass.

“If Paris is the city of love, then Pearl Django’s music is the flirtatious accompaniment.”
