Jan 19: Rouge

French music is Rouge‘s specialty. Swing, waltz and more to zesty recreations of French songs from the 1930’s to 60’s plus moderns—Edith Piaf to Zaz, musettes, gypsy jazz, originals, and dance standards.

Chanteuse Janet Rayor’s sensuous voice is supported by the joie de vivre and passion of her group: violinist Brandon Vance, pianist Clayton Murray, and accordionist Toby Hanson! Pure joy dancing to this group!

Pre-dance lesson: 7pm to 8pm with Christine Sampson and Winfield Hobbs.  Inner Land Waltz,  The music begins; it’s a fast temp waltz.  You know what to do in the outside turning lane.  Come learn the dynamic magic of the inner  lane with Christine and Win.

Dance: 8pm to 11pm

Cost: $15 general admission payable by cash or check at the door, $10 students under 23 with ID.

Location:  Leif Erikson Hall, 2245 N.W. 57th St. Seattle

Parking:  Free parking will be available at this dance in the Banner Bank lot due to a cooperative relationship with Banner Bank, immediately east and next door to the Leif Erikson Hall. Free parking is also available at the Ballard Health Club lot immediately south of the hall and east of Classic Consignment, through the generosity of an anonymous donor.
