February 1: Birch Pereira and the Gin Joints

Lucky for us, Birch Pereira & the Gin Joints will be playing for our dancing pleasure on Saturday, February 1 at the Polish Culture Center.

Born out of a love of the early years of swing, Americana, and rock ‘n roll, Birch Pereira & the Gin Joints is a popular Seattle-based band whose sound will transport you to the time of speakeasies, honky-tonks, and roadhouses. (Summer dancers may recognize them from Dancing ’til Dusk and the North City Jazz Walk.) With upright bassist and vocalist Birch Pereira at its center, the band features skilled and versatile musicians who share their love of music with the dancers. Enjoy dancing to Swing at different tempos and to some sultry Blues.
