We create fun, easy ways
for singles and couples of all ages and abilities to experience
the rich and diverse world of partner dancing.
NDN does this by offering non-competitive
group classes in Swing, Salsa, Waltz, Foxtrot, Nightclub
Two-step, Tango and more. Our classes are fun and comfortable.
Each class is taught by two highly skilled and entertaining
instructors teaching lead and follow roles. We excel at
teaching beginners.
Come with or without a partner, meet new people and
enjoy a whole new community while you have fun learning
to dance.
What People Say About Us:
"Walter and Living Traditions' great strength is that they
make it safe to fail when you are learning to dance. People
learn faster and have more fun when it is okay to make mistakes."
-- Dean Paton, journalist, screenwriter
"I felt really awkward when I arrived for that very
first class, but Walter and Julie put us all at ease immediately.
Their instruction was so clear, their enthusiasm so contagious,
and the music so fun, I walked away with a huge smile
on my face. I couldn't help thinking, 'My god, if only
more people danced, there would be no need for Prozac.'"
--Lisa Weil, marketing and business consultant
"Through Living Traditions, not only did I discover
the magic and fun of partner dancing, I also found my
dance partner for life, my wife Bonnie. Our love of dance
has become a part of our life, an expression of the way
we play, share, and grow as a couple."
--Denny Organ, Director of International Manufacturing
and Strategic Planning for Starbucks
"When my husband and I signed up for our first Living
Traditions dance class over a year ago, I didn't expect
for dance to be more than occasional fun; now we're addicted.
I never expected to develop a sense of community from
dancing, but we have. We look forward to seeing the friendly,
caring faces at classes and dances. I never expected to
gain a few dear, close friends, but we have. When we signed
up for that first class, I have no idea dancing could
be healing. When I dance there are no bills, no sick kid,
no career woes, no moles chewing up my garden, only the
music, the movement and my partner. Sheer delight."
--Vickie Legman, Business communication trainer.
